Occupational Therapy

Building Life Skills to Promote Independence

Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) Occupational Therapy Services help adults and children develop or restore skills necessary for an independent lifestyle. Occupational Therapy focuses on activities that use fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination or memory recall. Patients might participate in occupational therapy to improve their ability to dress themselves, feed themselves, use a computer or remember phone numbers. Each patient's individualized therapy program is based on a comprehensive evaluation, individual planning and setting personalized goals.

Occupational Therapy also provides services you need when injury or illness affects your life. Treatment is custom designed by a licensed Occupational Therapist. During occupational therapy, you will be assisted to develop, recover and maintain daily living and work skills.

Our Occupational Therapy Team is committed to providing the highest quality care and making a positive difference for patients and their families. This commitment has earned the team impressive scores in patient satisfaction surveys.
