Goals

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from non-cardiac circulatory problems of the arteries and veins
  • Provide a comprehensive outpatient non-invasive vascular laboratory services
  • Provide percutaneous and/or endoluminal treatment options for cancer and non-vascular disorders

Arterial Circulation - Full range of open and minimally invasive treatments

  • Treatment of Thoracic Aneurysm, Abdominal Aneurysm, and other Aneurysms 
  • Treatment of Carotid Artery Disease 
  • Treatment of Arm Claudication or Vertebral insufficiency 
  • Treatment for Peripheral Arterial Vascular Disease and Ulcers/Wounds
  • Treatment of renal artery (malignant0 hypertension
  • Treatment for active arterial bleeding such as that related to trauma, gastrointestinal ulcers, diverticulosis, tumors, hemoptysis, post partum bleeding 
  • Treatment of Arteriovenous Malformations 
  • Thrombolytic therapy for acute ischemia of arm, leg or gut 
  • Embolization of tumors 
         Benign: uterine fibroids, angiomyolipoma, hepatic adenoma, bone tumors 
         Malignant: renal cell carcinoma, primary and metastatic liver tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, bone tumors     

Venous Circulation

  • Venograms 
  • Treatment of venous thromboembolic disease 
         IVC filters (permanent and removable) 
         Thrombolytic therapy for axillosubclavian or iliofemoral DVT 
         Mechanical thrombectomy of Pulmonary Embolus
  • Treatment of Venous Occlusions either due to benign or malignant process causing arm swelling, leg swelling, Budd Chiari syndrome, SVC syndrome
  • TIPS Procedure for treatment of Portal Hypertension causing variceal bleeding, refractory ascites, refractory hydrothorax, Budd-Chiari syndrome
  • Varicose and spider vein ablation 
         Sclerotherapy 
         Radiofrequency (minimally invasive) treatment of the saphenous and other veins 
         Traditional vein “stripping” when most appropriate
  • Chronic venous insufficiency of the legs
  • Reproductive System 
         Pelvic congestion syndrome 
         Varicocele
  • Venous sampling for adrenal glands, kidneys, pancreatic

Dialysis Access

  • Hemodilaysis catheters

Cancer Disorders

    • Biopsies of thyroid lesions, solid organ lesions and bone lesions
    • Thoracentesis 
    • Paracentesis and Pleurodesis 
    • Pleurex catheter placement for refractory malignant pleural effusions and ascites 
    • Tumor therapy (primary and metastatic) of chest, abd, pelvis, bone, and soft-tissue
           Endovascular: embolization, chemoembolization, drug eluting beads 
           Percutaneous ablation, chemoembolization, and radioactive spheres 
    • Central venous access: Hickman catheter, Chest ports (Portacath), Apheresis catheters

    Non-Vascular Disorders

    • Drainage of abscess, painful cysts and abnormal fluid collections 
    • Biopsies: liver, kidney, thyroid nodules, etc. 
    • Transjugular liver biopsy 
    • Treatment of Bile Duct Disease and Gallbladder disease with placement of drainage tubes, cholangioplasty, metallic stents and stone extraction 
    • Cholecystotomy tube placement 
    • Treatment of Kidney disease with placement of nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, ureteroplasty and stone extraction 
    • Gastrostomy or gastrojejunostomy feeding tubes 
    • Back Pain therapies such as kyphoplasty, and vertebroplasty

    Non-invasive Vascular Laboratory for arterial and venous diagnostic testing

      • Lower extremity and upper extremity arterial physiologic “Doppler” tests 
      • Carotid artery duplex scanning (Doppler ultrasound) 
      • Transcranial cerebrovascular duplex exam 
      • Venous imaging (Doppler ultrasound) for deep vein thrombosis of the arm or leg 
      • Venous imaging (Doppler ultrasound) for varicose vein disease
      • Vein mapping for possible dialysis access
