Qualified Infusion Care in an Outpatient Setting
The CDH Infusion Center at the CDH Cancer Center offers convenience for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines. We work with a diverse population of patients, such as:
- Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy
- Individuals taking medications for pain management
- Patients with blood disorders such as hemophilia
- Patients requiring intravenous antibiotics
- Other patients who require intravenous treatments, but are not hospitalized
Our Services
The CDH Infusion Center specializes in intravenous (IV) treatments. Services and treatments provided here include:
- Biological response modifiers
- Central line catheter care
- Chemotherapy
- Hydration therapy
- Immunomodulators
- Intravenous therapies (many types)
- IV antibiotic therapy
- IV anti-emetic care
- IV immune globulin
- Intramuscular injections
- Monoclonal antibodies
- Pain management
- Subcutaneous injections
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
- Transfusions of blood products
Supplemental services support the clinical care. To create an optimal care experience, our team also provides:
- Assessment and evaluations
- Educational and instructional materials
- Procuring specimens for lab testing
- Providing updates to the primary physician
- Participating in ongoing utilization reviews with the primary physician to promote the best treatment outcomes
- Documentation in the form of treatment and utilization reports, progress notes, nursing assessments and discharge summaries
Empowering Patients
We are committed to creating the best care experience for our patients. In addition to facilitating IV treatments, we teach patients how to care for themselves during therapy so they can be active participants in their own healthcare.
The Team
Infusion services are provided by experienced nurse clinicians who specialize in intravenous treatments. These nurses have advanced certification in oncology nursing.
Location and Hours
The CDH Infusion Center is located at the CDH Cancer Center. The center is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
