Psychological Evaluation and Behavior Modification

Psychological Consultation & Behavior Modification

There are psychological “triggers” that cause us to make certain choices each day.  Over time, we can fall into unhealthy habits by routinely making poor choices.  The nutrition and activity level choices we make each day are no exception.  Because the psychological aspect of weight loss is crucial to each patient’s success, we offer initial consultation and follow up appointments with a clinical psychologist.

We offer ongoing support to patients within our program in a variety of ways, including group and individual support.  For those who prefer individualized support, we offer one-on-one consultation appointments and follow up visits with a psychologist to ensure long term weight loss success.

Although the psychological evaluation is optional for non-surgical patients unless ordered by their personal physician, it is a required part of the prescreening process for surgical weight loss patients.
