Pediatric Outpatient Center - All of the pediatric outpatient specialty care offered in the Lurie Children's at Cadence Health pediatric program is provided in child-friendly areas (Clinic "A", Clinic "B" and "East" Clinic) which are all easily accessible from the East entrance of Central DuPage Hospital. The brightly decorated waiting area and treatment rooms are equipped with colorful artwork, furniture, toys and games - all designed to help your child feel more at ease when he or she is here for a visit to the doctor.
Pediatric Infusion Center - Located within the Pediatric Outpatient Center of Central DuPage Hospital, the Infusion Center is staffed by physicians, CDH oncology certified nurses and child life specialists. Children can choose a quiet, private environment or participate in crafts and games where they can interact with other patients while getting therapy.
Pediatric Emergency Department - From the waiting room to the patient treatment rooms, both of which are decorated in child-friendly themes, the Pediatric Emergency Department at Central DuPage Hospital strives to ease the stress of an acute-care visit to the hospital.

The main CDH Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Children can be treated during all hours.
Pediatric inpatient facilities

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - A Level III facility, the NICU provides 24-hour care to our youngest and tiniest patients. The state-of-the-art facility at Central DuPage Hospital has 23 private rooms for critically ill newborns. These rooms offer a quiet place where parents can bond with their infant while receiving advanced medical therapies to assist in the healing and growth of their child.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Pediatric Critical Care Center, the PICU provides high-level critical care for post- surgical, critically ill or injured children. The six-bed, family-centered unit at Central DuPage Hospital features private rooms, with sleeping accommodations for parents.
Pediatric Inpatient Unit - The pediatric inpatient unit at CDH contains 10 private suites which each include a bathroom, sleeping accommodations for parents, plasma televisions and DVD players.
Pediatric Short Stay Unit - This pediatric unit at CDH is for a children requiring less than 24 hours of inpatient medical care and contains seven private suites which each include a bathroom, sleeping accommodations for parents, plasma televisions and DVD players.
For your child's safety, the pediatric inpatient units are locked and secured at all times.
