Pediatric Critical Care
The critical care specialists in the pediatric program, Lurie Children's at Cadence Health, provide intensive and compassionate care to post-surgical, critically ill or injured children. Recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Pediatric Critical Care Center, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at CDH offers state-of-the-art technology and equipment in a child-friendly environment. The six-bed, family-centered unit has private patient rooms with sleeping accommodations for parents. For your child's safety, the PICU is locked and secured at all times.

Lurie Children's specialists, board certified in critical care and pediatrics
Additional Lurie Children's specialists including pediatric cardiologists, pediatric surgeons, pediatric gastroenterologists and others as needed
Lurie Children's pediatric hospitalists, on site 24 hours every day
CDH registered nurses with Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
