The pediatric allergy/asthma/immunology specialists in the pediatric program, Lurie Children's at Cadence Health, treat children with:

The team provides extensive treatment options, offering on-site, in-depth diagnostic testing and evaluation including:

  • Allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots)
  • Drug allergy testing and challenge
  • Food patch testing for eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease
  • Food challenge
  • Laboratory evaluation of the immune system
  • Local anesthetic allergy testing and challenge (lidocaine, bupivcaine, etc.)
  • Pulmonary function testing (for asthma)
  • Skin Testing (airborne – environmental, food, venom -bee, wasp stings)
  • Testing for penicillin allergy
  • Xolair (for severe asthma)
