The critical care specialists in the Children's Memorial at CDH program provide intensive and compassionate care to post-surgical, critically ill or injured children. Recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Pediatric Critical Care Center, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at CDH offers state-of-the-art technology and equipment in a child-friendly environment. The six-bed, family-centered unit has private patient rooms with sleeping accommodations for parents. For your child's safety, the PICU is locked and secured at all times.
