CDH Family Advisory Council
Listening to the parents of our pediatrics patients, the Pediatric Family Advisory Council was formed to improve care for children served at CDH. Comprised of parents and hospital representatives, the council provides information and resources to support children and families.
The Pediatric Family Advisory Council is a mechanism for parents to partner with the hospital and healthcare team to improve care for the children we serve. It is a true collaboration with parents and the medical team. Parents know their child best, therefore getting input from them makes sense. Not everything suggested will be possible, but working together, improvements can be made.
The council maintains a list of Internet resources and links for parents and also partners with Positive Parenting DuPage*, who provides service information to families and children about local, county and state organizations.
We would like more in-patient pediatric parents to serve on the council. The council meets five times a year at CDH. There are a limited number of seats. If you would like to be a part of the council, please call 630.933.6576 TTY for the hearing impaired 630.933.4833 or email pediatricFAC@cdh.org.
