Mommy & Me Yoga is a gentle, nurturing yoga class designed to bring the mother back into physical and mental shape by providing asanas to bring the pelvic floor back into balance. The restorative sessions provide a connection between mother and baby while assisting the mother's body and mind. Poses are safe for postnatal mothers with doctor's permission, usually 6 weeks after birth for vaginal delivery, or 8-10 weeks after cesarean section. Newborns will also benefit from the practice with soothing asanas designed for mothers and babies to share, especially helpful for fussy or colic babies. Taught by a certified yoga instructor. Designed for babies 6 weeks to pre-crawling.
Mats, blocks and bolsters are supplied, but you may bring your own.
