Vision Insurance

As an alternative to the vision discounts offered as part of the medical plans, CDH offers employees and their families a vision plan that has a local network.  The Community Vision Care insurance provides coverage for preventive exams, eyeglasses, contacts lenses and laser surgery. 

Short Term Disability and Critical Illness Insurance

CDH offers two voluntary insurance plans, short term disability (STD) and critical illness through UNUM.  The STD plan is designed to supplement the employees’ income if they are disabled due to sickness, including pregnancy.  The critical illness plan pays a lump sum benefit for everyday expenses if a person is diagnosed with a covered critical illness. 

Long Term Care Insurance

Employees of CDH and their family members can purchase long-term care insurance through a financial group that represents several major insurance companies who specialize in long-term care.
