Paid Time Off Programs

Paid Time Off

To make the most of time away from work, Central DuPage Hospital offers both full-time and part-time hourly employees the chance to earn time off. This can be used for vacation, holidays and sick days. The amount of paid time off earned during each bi-weekly pay period is based on years of service and hours worked.

Extended Sick Bank

This option offers more security for all full-time employees at CDH. Employees can accrue 4 days per year – up to a maximum of 42 days total (336 hours). This time is not vested; however, it is available if an employee is out sick for more than 3 days (24 hours) at one time.

Long-Term Disability

After six months of continuous, full-time employment, CDH employees are automatically eligible for long-term disability insurance. This benefit is paid by the employer and provides 50% of the employee’s income after an absence of over 60 consecutive calendar days due to a specific illness or injury.
