Local Women Give Back to the Community

CNS Home Health & Hospice Receives $35,000 Donation

CAROL STREAM, Ill., May 11, 2007 – More than 150 Glen Ellyn and Wheaton women give care to their community through their fundraising efforts to support  CNS Home Health & Hospice (CNS). On May 17 the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton Auxiliary Board will present its annual donation check to CNS in the amount of $35,000 to support Hospice Care, Bereavement Services, Parish Nurse Program as well as sponsorship of a Geriatric Assistance patient.  This donation represents the 45th year the auxiliary has been supporting CNS.

“The Glen Ellyn/Wheaton Auxiliary is an incredibly committed group of women who work so hard throughout the year to raise funds for our programs. Their donation represents a significant amount of our yearly support to help those in need,” said Lisa Brown-Van Arsdale, director of Development. The auxiliary membership hosts three events each year including a Fall Luncheon which will be held October 17, 2007, a cocktail party and auction in the later winter months and a spring card party and luncheon.
