Opening Doors: Rapid Expansion
Winfield, Ill. Feb. 6, 2006 –While doubling its original space in less than two years Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) has opened several new doors to advanced medical services and amenities; now, the hospital will open new front doors to enhance the way it welcomes customers.
Beginning on February 13, CDH customers will access all hospital services via staffed entrances at the Ambulatory Services Pavilion, the Emergency Room and the Women & Children’s Pavilion. And, on February 13, 2006, the hospital’s current East and West entrances will no longer be accessible.
“Patients and visitors will see Central DuPage Hospital in a new way,” announced Dr. Kenneth Heaps, Executive Vice President, Medical Affairs, Central DuPage Hospital. “With the recent addition of the Women & Children’s Pavilion and Ambulatory Services Pavilion, CDH has become a large medical campus. But, we remain a community hospital that is committed to welcoming our customers in a friendly, caring and comfortable manner. With these entrance changes, we can direct visitors and patients more efficiently.”
Security and Guest Services are prominently featured at each entrance welcome center to help direct visitors or assist special needs. Complimentary valet parking is available at the Ambulatory Services Pavilion and at The Women & Children’s Pavilion.
Following are the hours for CDH entrances:
1 Ambulatory Services Pavilion Entrance:
Complimentary valet parking encouraged, 5 a.m. – 7 p.m.
M-F: 5 a.m.-11:00 p.m.
Saturday: 5:30 a.m.-11:0 p.m.
Sunday: 6:30a.m.-8:30 p.m.
2 Women & Children Pavilion Entrance:
Complimentary valet parking encouraged, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
3 Emergency Room Entrance:
Visitors going to the Ambulatory Services Pavilion are encouraged to use the Jewell Rd. entrance while those going to the Emergency Room or Women & Children’s Pavilion will find the Winfield Rd. campus entrances most convenient.
To prepare for current transitions and future growth, the hospital will be working with experts in way finding to enhance all campus directional signage and mapping.
