Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill., announced a new affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic’s Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute.
The 337-bed hospital said the agreement will give the suburban Chicago hospital access to the Cleveland Clinic’s treatment protocols, clinical trials in heart surgery and other research opportunities.
“It is quite an honor that a top provider like Cleveland Clinic recognizes our drive for quality and top-tier performance and is interested in affiliating with us,” Central DuPage President and CEO Luke McGuinness said in news release.
Bruce Lytle, chairman of the Cleveland Clinic’s heart and vascular institute, said in the release that the relationship with Central DuPage and similar affiliations “will help address the complex need to treat patients with emerging new surgical techniques and technologies.”
