Debra O'Donnell, MSN, BSN, RN

Debra O'Donnell is Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Central DuPage Hospital. She is a board-certified Nurse Executive, Advanced, with more than 36 years of experience. Under Ms. O’Donnell’s leadership, CDH achieved Magnet recognition for nursing excellence. She has been serving the organization since 2005.
Prior to joining CDH, Ms. O’Donnell worked as a Manager at Applied Management Systems, a healthcare consulting firm based in Burlington, Massachusetts. She also served as Director of Nursing Informatics at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
Ms. O’Donnell is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, a member and elected board member of the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders, and a past member of Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives. She has been published in the Journal of Nursing Administration (JONA).
Ms. O’Donnell earned her associate’s degree in Nursing from Newton Jr. College in Newton, Massachusetts, her bachelor’s in Nursing from Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Massachusetts, and her master’s degree in Nursing Administration at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.
