Giving Opportunities

Putting Your Gift to Work

With the help of generous donors, CDH Foundation supports the services, programs and facilities of CDH and its affiliates. Charitable gifts from individuals, businesses, foundations and organizations have enabled the Foundation to help fund capital projects, like the CDH Cancer Center, Breast Health Center, and Pediatric Infusion Center. The Foundation also gathers donations to support many ongoing programs that improve the healthcare of people living in our community.

Here are a few examples of the many ways charitable gifts are helping people each day:

  • Child Life Program – Helps children cope with circumstances that might otherwise prove to be overwhelming, including painful treatments and long-term illness management.
  • Nursing Education Fund – Supports training in leadership and clinical skills to increase the quality of nursing care at CDH.
  • Injury Prevention Program – Works to keep children from infants to teens safe from common causes of injuries by offering classroom programs and distributing helmets and car seats.
  • HomeCare Physicians – Provides compassionate, comprehensive physician-directed medical care to homebound elderly and disabled patients.
  • CNS Home Health & Hospice – Provides home nursing and therapy services, including hospice care.

CDH is committed to providing excellent primary care and sub-specialty services within our community by focusing on top-tier clinical quality and excellent patient satisfaction. Donations may be directed to any of the following funds to support CDH’s work in these service areas:

  • Oncology Fund
  • Cardiovascular Fund
  • Neurosciences Fund
  • Pediatrics Fund
  • Orthopaedics Fund

Donations to the Foundation are used where the need is greatest unless the donor indicates a designated use for the gift. If you would like to support one of the funds described here, please include that information with your gift. If you would like to know more about specific areas where you may direct your gift, please contact the Foundation to discuss your personal preferences by calling us at 630-933-4483 or by e-mailing us at CDHFoundation@cdh.org.

Whether you choose to put your gift where the need is greatest or for a designated purpose, we’ll use your donation wisely to make a real difference in people’s lives throughout our community.
